This International Women's Day we are celebrating all the amazing women we work with every day here at Tigerlily. We're lucky to work in a primarily female workplace with a female CEO at the healm so this day is very special to us. To celebrate the day at head office we were welcomed with a Tigerlily printed cookie, our own coffee order waiting for us on our desks and a relaxing massage thanks to Working Hands for everyone.

What do you love about working at Tigerlily, which a predominantly female workplace? The environment is so wonderful, everyone is so supportive and is cheering each other on. We all want each other to succeed and achieve great things.
Why do you think it is important to celebrate International Women’s Day?
It is great to be able to have time to pause and reflect on the success of women around the world and what we have achieved.
Who or what inspires you?
The women in my life inspire me especially my Mum, she has shown me how to be a strong independent woman and has given me my confidence to know that anything is possible.
Do you believe in Astrology, and if so what is your star sign?
I’m a Sagittarius.
If you could have dinner with three inspirational women, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
My three guests would be Jacinta Arden, Serena Williams, and Joan Rivers. I admire that all three women have pushed the boundaries of the type of person that would normally be in their careers and how successfully they have all done it.
If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would that be?
To stress less and go on the journey

What do you love about working at Tigerlily, which a predominantly female workplace?
I love that everyone understands each other and that we all just work to be the best we can for the brand. It’s also just nice being around like-minded people!
Why do you think it is important to celebrate International Women’s Day?
I think there are so many times in a woman’s lifetime where she feels unseen, unheard, and hidden. It’s so important to give a platform for women and highlight our issues without having something or someone else take away from it. Even for just a day.
Who or what inspires you?
I love a good underdog story. They always inspire me to keep going no matter what!
Do you believe in Astrology, and if so what is your star sign?
I wouldn’t say I believe in Astrology, but I love the idea of a bigger force out there that provides guidance and direction to those who believe in it! I’m on the cusp of Sagittarius and Capricorn, so I’m not sure what that says about me. Maybe someone who understands Astrology can tell me? Haha.
If you could have dinner with three inspirational women, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
- Rihanna – IMO one of the coolest people ever, so strong and confident. I think spending a few hours with her would make me 100x cooler haha
- My mum – Would love to take her out to dinner sometime as we haven’t had a girls' night in a while haha, just love spending time with her in general.
- Vera Wang – She is absolutely killing it and such an inspiration. Plus, I’d love to know how she looks about 40 years younger than her age!
Also hoping these are three separate dinners otherwise it would be an extremely awkward night.
If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would that be?
To always have belief in yourself, even if you don’t think you’ll make it. There is no point in regretting after, so why not try? Time will continue to pass whether you do it or not, so isn’t it better to have tried anyway?

Love the Azalea Afra Maxi Dress in Dusty Pink! I’m usually not a pink person but love the way the dress flows and the amazing back on there. The print is so cute too!

Why do you think it is important to celebrate International Women’s Day?
I feel it is important to celebrate International Women’s day - To recognise how far we've come towards gender equality.. We still have a long way to go but it’s amazing to celebrate the wins! GIRL POWER!
Who or what inspires you?
My friends! I have a beautiful group of like-minded women who have come from all different walks of life. Their kindness, strength and wisdom inspires me every day.
Do you believe in Astrology, and if so what is your star sign?
Sure do! I am Sagittarius with a Scorpio moon (watch out) 😊
If you could have dinner with three inspirational women, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
Goldie Hawn, Dolly Parton and Nicole Richie.. They are all absolute style queens, self-made (except Nicole 😉 ) Boss B’s, hilariously funny and they don’t take life too seriously.
If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would that be?
Always be your true authentic self and whatever is meant for you won’t pass you by. Love yourself…. That’s a few but I couldn’t pick my fav 😊

Life is so different for us today compared our mothers / grandmothers / and that alone is worth celebrating.

The beach – feeds my soul.

Sort of - Libra.
If you could have dinner with three inspirational women, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
Audrey Hepburn – how beautiful is she? Stevie Nicks – as a child of the 70’s I love a bit of rock and roll and my life would be complete if I heard her sing Rumors. Grace Tame – love her fierceness.

The Tigerlily warehouse team is a pretty even mix of female and male workers. I love that we're a close team, we genuinely care about and respect each other which makes for a really great work environment.
Why do you think it is important to celebrate International Women’s Day?
It's so important! This is a celebration of women all over the world. It's a chance for women to love and support one another through unity.
Who or what inspires you?
Strong women, music, art, nature.
Do you believe in Astrology, and if so what is your star sign?
Yes, Aquarius.
If you could have dinner with three inspirational women, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
Amy Schumer, not only is she hilarious but she is so unapologetically honest and a big spokesperson for women’s rights who isn’t afraid to be “outspoken” or get her hands dirty.
Karen Kilgariff, my favourite podcaster who has openly talked about her struggles with mental Illness, drug addiction, and eating disorders. She has helped open a much needed dialogue between women (and men) surrounding these issues that most of us face, through comedy and painful honesty.
Chelsea Handler, another bad ass, no crap taking, comedian and writer, who I just think is the bee’s knees and I’d love to pick her brain :)
If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would that be?
Don’t be scared to be yourself, only the people that matter will accept and appreciate you.

What do you love about working at Tigerlily, which a predominantly female workplace?Working with a team of females definitely lends itself to being a supportive environment. My team is all females and are all amazing! I always feel so comfortable and supported in not only a professional but personal way which is really great!
Why do you think it is important to celebrate International Women’s Day?
I think it’s so important to celebrate international women’s day to recognise the achievements and growth women have made in a mostly gender dominated society but to also acknowledge that we still have so far to go in terms of reaching gender equality and gender acceptance across the world.
Who or what inspires you?
Other creatives in the industry. Seeing people so passionate about their work really helps to ignite my own excitement and passion too!
Do you believe in Astrology, and if so what is your star sign?
I don’t personally no! But my star sign is Capricorn.
If you could have dinner with three inspirational women, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
My favourite podcaster, Alexis Fernandez - she has the best life advice! I always feel so empowered after to listening to her, but it would be so cool to get her advice on my own personal life too! My beautiful friend, Ruby, who moved to Japan in 2020, firstly because covid has caused us to not be physically together in so long but also because she was brave enough to move overseas to a country so different from ours and wasn’t afraid to take the leap! And finally, my Mum, my biggest inspration and biggest support! I also don’t get to her often so any time I get with her is always very special to me.
If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would that be?
Don’t think too much about what other people think, just always keep true to yourself and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there!
